Washington, D.C. – As OXUS GROUP prepares for an expanded role in Afghanistan’s energy sector, the firm’s leadership participated in the Afghanistan Energy Business Opportunities Conference in Dubai, which took place on September 17 and 18. The two-day conference provided information on upcoming private-public partnership opportunities in clean energy across Afghanistan and brought together key stakeholders. GIRoA and international donors seek companies to invest in Independent Power Producers (IPP) opportunities to construct and operate regional solar plants.

OXUS has a solid track record supporting the Asian Development Bank’s energy promotion initiatives in Afghanistan by composing and facilitating the activities of a consortium consisting of major international power companies, which designed and constructed hydropower plants and substations.
